Samenvatting

In Groot-Brittannië wordt gastro-intestinale endoscopie in toenemende mate uitgevoerd door verpleegkundigen2,3) met goedkeuring en instemming van verenigingen van gastro-enterologen4,5). Er zijn onderzoeken uitgevoerd die indiceren dat deze endoscopieën uitgevoerd door verpleegkundigen in de Verenigde Staten en Groot-Brittannië veilig en effectief zijn.6-12)
