20. Een Surinaamse man met schizofrenie

Inleiding

De crisisdienst van een grote stad komt in contact met meneer Pinas. Hij is Creools-Surinaams en 46 jaar oud. Buurtgenoten hebben de indruk dat hij hulpbehoevend is. Een sociaalpsychiatrisch verpleegkundige legt contact met meneer Pinas. Meneer Pinas is een vriendelijke, maar verwaarloosde en vermagerde man. Hij maakt de indruk te hallucineren (‘er zijn stemmen’), hij stelt zich achterdochtig op en hij gebruikt veel harddrugs, waaronder crack. Meneer Pinas blijkt eerder behandeld te zijn voor schizofrenie.
