A new method for coordination of care from the centres for youth and families Local authorities in the Netherlands are facilitating the development of new initiatives to organise youth care, in anticipation of new legislation for the youth care service system. One initiative in the city The Hague resulted in a methodology for case management provided by the Centres for Youth and Families. In this methodology, based on the Wrap around care, a multidisciplinary team involves the entire family to enhance the quality of life of the children. More than hundred families have participated in the last year. In this article the methodology and the challenges in working with it are described.
