Introductie

Pijn aan de mediale zijde van de knie kan verschillende orthopedische oorzaken hebben, onder andere een mediaal meniscusletsel, plicasyndroom, patella-instabiliteit met een mediaal patellofemoraal ligamentletsel, tendopathie van de pes anserinus of een mediale hoffitis. Als er echter ook neurologische symptomen aanwezig zijn, moet men aan een heel andere vorm van pathologie denken.
