This issue of the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders (JADD) offers a wide range of intervention and basic research contributions involving individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Contributors represent investigators from many different countries who are trying to find new and more effective ways of helping these youngsters, adults, and their families. In the past decade, one of the most encouraging developments has been the amount of attention now being paid to autism research and the quality of investigators who are doing this important work.
