23. Economische evaluatie van implementatiestrategieën

Samenvatting

Implementatiestrategieën vragen investeringen, onder meer in de vorm van tijd van zorgverleners. In een economische evaluatie wordt de verhouding tussen het nut en de kosten van een implementatieprogramma bepaald. Voor het meten van kosten kunnen uiteenlopende gegevens worden gebruikt of verzameld, zoals declaraties bij zorgverzekeraars of vragenlijsten voor patiënten. Het nut kan worden uitgedrukt in termen van bereikte verbetering in de zorg en/of de waarde van de gezondheidswinst. Voor het bepalen van het nut kan worden aangesloten bij een uitkomstevaluatie (kosteneffectiviteitsanalyse) of aanvullend gegevens worden verzameld (kostenutiliteitsanalyse). In de analyse worden de verhouding tussen deze twee grootheden bepaald, vaak met behulp van complexe kwantitatieve methoden die ook de mate van onzekerheid in de schatting aangeven.
