4. Echoscopie van het myometrium

Samenvatting

Echoscopie vormt de eerstelijnsdiagnostiek om het myometrium beoordelen. De meeste afwijkingen van het myometrium kunnen met de huidige echotechnieken goed worden afgebeeld en geclassificeerd. Achtereenvolgens komen in dit hoofdstuk uterus myomatosus, adenomyose, de uteriene niche en de congenitale uteriene afwijkingen aan bod. Van al deze myometriumafwijkingen worden ook de classificaties besproken (o.a. MUSA-, FIGO-, ESHRE/ESGE-, ASRM- en ISUOG-classificatie) om uniforme verslaglegging te faciliteren.
