Samenvatting

Tot 1975-1980 bestond de niet-invasieve cardiologische diagnostiek in de meeste cardiologische praktijken uit lichamelijk onderzoek en elektrocardiografie. Omdat met behulp van het lichamelijk onderzoek weinig objectieve gegevens konden worden vastgelegd, werden pulsatiecurven en fonocardiografische registraties gebruikt om de gegevens van het lichamelijk onderzoek te registreren en verder te bestuderen.
