Samenvatting

Dyspneu bij patiënten met een maligniteit in het algemeen en bij Longcarcinoom in het bijzonder is in de palliatieve fase een frequent optredend symptoom dat de kwaliteit van leven ernstig beïnvloedt. Een holistische aanpak is noodzakelijk. Met niet alleen aandacht voor de medicamenteuze therapie, maar ook voor existentieel lijden, psychische problematiek en sociale factoren. Dit artikel is een samenvatting van Diagnostiek en behandeling van dyspneu bij oncologische patiënten uit het boek Het KOP-formularium.
