Samenvatting

Jacqueline is een 48-jarige vrouw met downsyndroom en een matige verstandelijke beperking. Ze woont in een gezinsvervangend tehuis en heeft een huisarts in de wijk. Haar begeleidster komt met haar op het spreekuur omdat ze haar achteruit vindt gaan: ze is stiller en meer teruggetrokken, wil vaak niet meer mee op uitjes, is buiten angstig en wil dan aan de arm lopen, en soms dut ze zomaar in. Een anamnese is niet betrouwbaar af te nemen; Jacqueline zelf zegt dat het goed gaat. Bij een algeheel lichamelijk onderzoek komen behalve cerumenproppen in de oren geen bijzonderheden aan het licht.
