Kinder mit ADHS: Psychosoziale Belastungen bei Eltern

Abstract

Zusammenfassung. Die ADHS-Symptomatik des Kindes hat Einfluss auf das psychosoziale Funktionsniveau der gesamten Familie. Studien zeigen eine erhöhte Belastung und Funktionsdefizite von Eltern mit Kindern mit ADHS-Symptomatik im Vergleich zur Kontrollgruppe. Es werden Eltern von Kindern mit ADHS (n = 26) im Vergleich zur Kontrollgruppe (n = 80) hinsichtlich ihrer Belastungsfaktoren (EBI) untersucht. Dabei werden komorbide Störungen wie aggressives Verhalten und internalisierende Probleme kontrolliert (SDQ). Unter Berücksichtigung des aggressiven Verhaltens und internalisierender Probleme unterscheiden sich Eltern von Kindern mit ADHS von Eltern der Kontrollgruppe nur in dem Faktor „Bindung“ signifikant voneinander (η2p = .04). Die in der Literatur beschriebenen elterlichen Belastungsfaktoren von Eltern mit Kindern mit ADHS scheinen vorwiegend dem oppositionell-aggressiven Verhalten, nicht der ADHS-Symptomatik zuzuschreiben zu sein.


Children with ADHD: Psychosocial stress on parents

Abstract. The child’s ADHD symptoms influence the psychosocial functioning of the whole family. Studies show an increased burden and functional deficits in parents of children with ADHD symptoms in comparison to the control group. Parents of children with ADHD (n = 26) were compared with the control group (n = 80) in terms of stress factors (EBI). Comorbid disorders such as aggressive behaviour and internalizing problems were controlled for (SDQ). Taking into account the aggressive behaviour and internalizing problems, parents of children with ADHD and parents of the control group differ significantly only in one factor: “attachment” (η2p = .04). Parental stress of children with ADHD described in the literature may be mainly attributed to the aggressive behaviour of ADHD symptoms.
