Inleiding

Dit hoofdstuk gaat over dikke mensen en hun plaats binnen de maatschappij en binnen de gezondheidszorg. Hoe denken mensen zonder overgewicht over dikke mensen? Verschillen hulpverleners daarin van de rest van de bevolking? Hoe denken dikke mensen zelf over oorzaken en gevolgen van hun overgewicht? Wat verwachten ze van ons, hulpverleners?
