Dieet bij chronische nierinsufficiëntie

Abstract

Het dieet bij chronische nierinsufficiëntie betekent een beperking van eiwit, natrium, kalium en fosfaat in de voeding. Bij de samenstelling van het dieet moet tevens gelet worden op voldoende energie, de voedingstoestand, voldoende vocht en een beperking van verzadigd vet. Deze dieetmaatregelen beogen het uitstellen van uremische complicaties, de regulering van de vochthuishouding en de elektrolytenbalans, het handhaven dan wel verbeteren van de voedingstoestand en, voorzover mogelijk, het vertragen van de achteruitgang van de nierfunctie.
