Samenvatting

ADHD-kenmerken worden al vanaf 1902 beschreven door George Still. Van 1937 dateert de ontdekking van Bradley dat stimulantia drukke kinderen rustig kunnen maken. Sinds 1960 wordt minimal brain damage (MBD), voorloper van de diagnose ADHD, in Nederland in toenemende mate vastgesteld; eerst alleen bij kinderen en adolescenten.
