Abstract

Wat kan Kraepelin, gezaghebbend psychiater uit begin 1900, bewogen hebben om op grond van één gevalsbeschrijving te concluderen tot de ziekte van Alzheimer? Die beslissing is van doorslaggevend belang geweest voor onze huidige opvatting over dementie. Daarom een korte terugblik.
