Delier tijdens kritische ziekte alleen maar lastig?

Betrouwbaar meetinstrument voor delier bij IC-patiënten

Samenvatting

Een groot deel van de opgenomen ziekenhuispatiënten ontwikkelt een delier tijdens de ziekenhuisopname. Een delier wordt vaak niet onderkend, wat tot vertraging van de behandeling en een langere verblijfsduur leidt. Naast patiëntspecifieke factoren is met name ernstige ziekte, zoals tijdens IC-behandeling, een grote risicofactor voor het ontstaan van delier. Met een gevalideerd meetinstrument als de CAM-ICU kan een delier worden herkend en vastgesteld.
