Samenvatting

De zorg is complex en voortdurend in beweging. Als verpleegkundig leider wordt van je verwacht dat je leiderschap toont in een complex systeem als de zorg. Maar hoe doe je dat precies, en hoe verhoudt je directe werkomgeving zich tot de organisatie waarin je werkt, en tot het systeem van de gezondheidszorg? Hoe word jij beïnvloed door je werkomgeving, en welke invloed heeft deze omgeving op de uitkomsten van de patiëntenzorg? Dit hoofdstuk gaat over leiderschapscompetenties, de rol van de werkomgeving hierin en de effecten hiervan op de uitkomsten van de zorg. We geven je handvatten om te kijken naar jouw werkomgeving en welke rol jij daarin speelt of kunt spelen, en hoe dit de patiëntenzorg beïnvloedt.
