Samenvatting

In dit hoofdstuk bespreek ik aan de hand van het Common Factors-model hoe de verschillende taken in supervisie van start gaan. Het accent zal in de eerste fase meer liggen op het vestigen van een werkrelatie, het verwerven van vaardigheden en theoretische onderbouwing. In deze fase heeft de supervisor verder tot taak om de feedback zo te organiseren dat de supervisant zich vrij voelt om daarop terug te komen. Een volgende taak is het ontwikkelen van het reflectief vermogen. Dit vereist een nauwkeurig balanceren tussen professionele attitudes en aandacht voor de eigen persoonlijkheid, zonder dat de supervisie een leertherapie wordt. De reflectie dient in dienst te staan van het proces van de ontwikkeling van de psychotherapeut, maar ook van de patiënt, diens problemen en het therapeutische proces.
