Samenvatting

De verschillende vormen van shock hebben alle hetzelfde eindpunt van circulatoire insufficiëntie. Het onderliggende mechanisme en dus de noodzakelijke behandeling kunnen verschillen. In dit hoofdstuk worden de vormen van shock met hun meest voorkomende oorzaken, karakteristieke symptomen en initiële behandeling besproken.
