Abstract

In dit artikel wordt de ontwikkeling van de paloc-s (Postacute Level of Consciousness scale) beschreven. Deze schaal is bedoeld om het bewustzijnsniveau van patiënten met een niet-aangeboren hersenletsel zo adequaat mogelijk in kaart te brengen. Het doel is het eventuele herstel van patiënten van coma tot volledig bewustzijn te volgen, zodat misdiagnoses zoveel mogelijk voorkomen worden.
