Samenvatting

Bij de RAVU (Regionale Ambulance Voorziening Utrecht) is in 2006 een pilotstudie uitgevoerd naar de voor- en nadelen van het LUCAS-hartmassageapparaat bij de behandeling van out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Hieruit is gebleken dat de praktische toepasbaarheid van de LUCAS erg goed is. Vanwege de positieve ervaringen met dit apparaat participeert de RAVU sinds eind 2008 in de LINC-studie (LUCAS IN Cardiac arrest). In dit artikel een beschrijving van deze studie.
