‘De kinderen in de klas doen allemaal flauw’

Dagboeken als Evaluatiemathode van Interventieonderzoek

Samenvatting

Is de dagboekmethode een geschikte manier om de effectiviteit van een interventie te meten? Deze vraag staat centraal in dit artikel. Met behulp van dagboeken onderzochten de auteurs de effectiviteit van het interventieprogramma ‘Weerbaarheid In het BasisOnderwijs’, kortweg WIBO, in groep 7 en 8 van het basisonderwijs. De dagboekboekmethode levert relevante onderzoeksgegevens op en lijkt een goede manier om effecten van interventies in het dagelijks leven te onderzoeken. Het percentage stressvolle, antisociale interacties die kinderen meemaakte, nam in de WIBO-groep meer af dan in de controlegroep.

De WIBO-kinderen hadden daarbij een tussenmeting direct na het krijgen van het WIBO-lesprogramma. Deze tussenmeting is in dit artikel buiten beschouwing gelaten, aangezien de resultaten niet bijdragen aan het beantwoorden van de twee onderzoeksvragen.
