Inleiding

De huid is het toegankelijkste orgaan van het lichaam. Het wordt daarom ook het makkelijkst beschadigd bij verschillende vormen van trauma, zoals ook bij kindermishandeling. Huidafwijkingen zijn zichtbaar voor eenieder die ernaar kijkt. Om een afwijking goed te beschrijven, typeren en interpreteren is training in de dermatologie noodzakelijk. Diagnostische vergissingen kunnen voorkomen worden door nauwe samenwerking tussen de forensische arts, de (kinder)arts en de kinderdermatoloog.
