Abstract

Het heupgewricht bestaat uit de (ronde) heupkop en het komvormige acetabulum van het bekken (figuur 10.1). Het bovenbeen kan zich in dit gewricht, een kogelgewricht, langs drie lichaamsassen bewegen: flexie/extensie, abductie/adductie en exorotatie/endorotatie.
