Samenvatting

Patiënten met COPD hebben behalve een afgenomen longfunctie vaak ook een slechte gezondheidstoestand (health status). Door de aard van de ziekte kan de longfunctie maar marginaal verbeteren, terwijl met de juiste maatregelen de gezondheidstoestand enorm kan verbeteren. Health status kan een rol spelen bij het bepalen van een behandelplan en de follow-up. Bij patiënten met COPD kan de health status gemeten worden met de Clinical COPD Questionnaire (CCQ). In dit hoofdstuk wordt het gebruik van de CCQ in de dagelijkse praktijk toegelicht.
