18 Coronaire angiografie

Samenvatting

De gouden standaard voor de diagnostiek van kransslagaderlijden is coronaire angiografie. Het onderzoek geeft nauwkeurige informatie over de anatomie van de coronairvaten en de ernst van de coronaire vernauwingen. Sinds Mason Sones in 1959 het eerste coronairangiografisch onderzoek verrichte, is het voor de cardioloog een van de belangrijkste onderzoeksmethoden bij de diagnose en behandeling van coronairlijden. In Nederland wordt per jaar ongeveer 80.000 angiografieën van de coronairvaten uitgevoerd.
