3. Contusies: contusie van de m. quadriceps

Samenvatting

Contusies (kneuzingen) zijn de meest voorkomende blessures bij voetbal. Zij treden meestal op door vallen of door een trap van de tegenstander. Lang niet altijd belemmert een contusie de voetballer bij zijn sportbeoefening. Als er echter een contusie optreedt van het bewegingsapparaat zoals spier, pees of bot, kunnen er problemen ontstaan. De casus en de bespreking van dit hoofdstuk behandelen vooral de spiercontusie en de complicaties die daarbij kunnen optreden. Daarna wordt ook de botcontusie (bone bruise) besproken.
