Inleiding

Een specifieke plaats bij de bekkenfysiotherapeutische diagnostiek wordt ingenomen door het consult bekkenfysiotherapie. Daarom wordt hieraan een apart hoofdstuk gewijd. Het consult benut de complete diagnostische mogelijkheden van de bekkenfysiotherapeut en vraagt specifieke vaardigheden van de bekkenfysiotherapeut.

De verloskundige heeft de juridische bevoegdheid om door te verwijzen naar de (bekken)fysiotherapeut; de verzekeraar zal echter soms alsnog vragen om een verwijzing van een (huis)arts.
