93. Conjunctivitis

Samenvatting

Een conjunctivitis is een niet-pijnlijke ontsteking van de conjunctiva (het bind- of slijmvlies) van één of beide ogen. Het klinisch beeld wordt gekenmerkt door roodheid van het oogwit, branderigheid, corpus alienum-gevoel (ten gevolge van zwelling), jeuk en milde afscheiding. Het gezichtsvermogen is onveranderd.
