18. Complexe implementatiestrategieën

Samenvatting

Complexe implementatiestrategieën kunnen worden gedefinieerd als strategieën waarin meerdere vormen van interventies worden toegepast. Scholing van zorgverleners is hiervan vaak een onderdeel. Complexe strategieën zijn niet altijd effectiever dan bepaalde enkelvoudige strategieën. Geen enkele combinatie biedt een garantie op succes. Implementatiestrategieën ‘op maat’ (gericht op relevante knelpunten en mogelijkheden) zijn mogelijk effectiever dan overige strategieën. Dit geldt ook voor complexe implementatiestrategieën. Complexe implementatiestrategieën zijn niet effectiever naarmate zij uit meer verschillende vormen van interventies bestaan. De effectiviteit van een complexe strategie wordt bepaald door de effectiviteit van de afzonderlijke strategieën waaruit deze is samengesteld en de interactie tussen die strategieën, die het totale effect kan doen toe- of afnemen.
