Abstract

Continuing with material about how therapists can help families with sibling issues, the current and next chapter cover unique sibling relational dynamics common in diverse families. The current chapter examines several clinically important sibling facets in ethnic minority groups, families experiencing divorce, single-parent families, and blended families. Chapter 6 examines unique issues confronted by siblings of children with disabilities. As with the previous chapters, the current and next chapter offer suggestions for clinicians working with these types of families on how to integrate an emphasis on these sibling issues in clinical practice.
