Abstract

This is chapter is based upon a presentation given by Billie talking about life with her sister, Stevie. The presentation formed a part of the fourth Child, Youth, Family and Disability Conference held at the Research Institute of Health and Social Change at Manchester Metropolitan University in May 2012. The aim of the conference is to bring together disabled children, young people, their families, allies, practitioners and academics to share their perspectives and to celebrate disabled children’s lives. Billie took up this theme in her chapter and challenges us to think differently about disabled children.
