Abstract

Atherosclerosis is the most common cause of arterial disease and presently occupies a position of heightened interest. It is the most frequently lethal disease of modern western society. Chronic occlusive arterial disease is a “high risk” pathology affecting population from 40 to over 70 years old, in a various percentage (5%–60%) with prevalence of male gender.
