Zusammenfassung

Elizabeth Botts ethnographische Studie über Familien und deren soziale Netzwerke entstand im Rahmen eines interdisziplinären Forschungsprojekts am Tavistock Institute of Human Relations in London. Dreh- und Angelpunkt ihrer Studie ist der Zusammenhang der häuslichen Arbeitsteilung von Frau und Mann und dem sozialen Netzwerk Familie. Bott verfolgt die relationale Idee, dass die Paarbeziehung von Frau und Mann durch die Struktur des sozialen Netzwerks der Partner beeinflusst sei.
