Abstract
The essence of functional kinetics is simple. As we said at the beginning, our model is the normal motor behaviour of the healthy human being. All our endeavours to use movement therapeutically end in the recognition that learning to approach the normal and healthy is like training in economy. This type of economy has nothing at all to do with penny-pinching or holding back on energy. On the contrary: in working with a patient, we are constantly seeking the limits of the possible: that is where practice starts to be effective, and if it is successful, the limits of the possible are extended still further.
