Zusammenfassung

Hypnose kann als uraltes Heilverfahren mit rituellen Wurzeln betrachtet werden, das sich wachsender Beliebtheit erfreut. Die meisten modernen therapeutischen Verfahren haben entweder ihren Ursprung in der Hypnose oder Berührungspunkte mit ihr. Trotz zahlreicher Überschneidungen in der Induktion, ist sie klar von Meditationsverfahren zu unterscheiden. Hypnotherapie basiert auf langen Traditionen und veränderte sich in den letzten hundert Jahren erheblich – weg von direktiven, mythischen, spirituellen Formen – hin zu einer wissenschaftlich fundierten Methode, die der Mobilisierung von Selbstheilungsprozessen dient. Die Therapieprinzipien nach Milton H. Erickson resultierten einer ressourcenorientierten Grundhaltung und haben weitreichende Einflüsse auf zahlreiche andere Therapieformen.
