Zusammenfassung

Die meisten angeborenen Anomalien der Koronararterien sind asymptomatisch und klinisch ohne Bedeutung; sie beeinflussen weder die Myokarddurchblutung noch die Lebenserwartung und werden zufällig bei aus anderen Gründen notwendiger Diagnostik oder bei einer Sektion gefunden. Einige dieser Anomalien können jedoch bei einem herzchirurgischen Eingriff, insbesondere bei einer Ventrikulotomie, Probleme bereiten. Darüber hinaus gibt es sehr seltene, schwerwiegende Koronararterienanomalien, die die Myokarddurchblutung bereits im frühen Säuglingsalter erheblich beeinträchtigen und dadurch schon früh zum Tode führen können. Diese müssen sehr früh erfaßt, diagnostiziert und — soweit möglich — entsprechend behandelt werden.
