Zusammenfassung

Kinder und Jugendliche, die unter einer generalisierten Angststörung (GAS)leiden, sorgen sich übermäßig über unterschiedliche Themen, und sie sind überzeugt davon, dass sie nicht in der Lage sind, zukünftige Situationen zu bewältigen. Sie fühlen sich von den Sorgen überwältiqt und verbringen Stunden damit, darüber nachzudenken, was morgen passieren könnte und was während des vorangegangenen Tages passiert war. Sie sind oft von Rückversicherungen der Eltern oder Lehrer abhängig, die Ihnen erklaren sollen, ob und wie sie alltägliche Situationen bewältiqen können. Die Sorgen und ihre Konsequenzen beeinflussen nicht nur das Leben des Kindes, sondern auch das der gesamten Familie.

Heidi besuchte die 2. Schulklasse als sie eines Nachmittags weinend und vollig aufqelost aus der Schule kam. Nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen der Mutter erklärt Heidi, an diesem Tag erfahren zu haben, dass sie in der weiterführenden Schule viele unterschiedliche Lehrer haben wird, sie 10-mal am Tag verschiedene Klassen aufsuchen muss und sie Ärger bekommt, wenn sie auch nur einmal zu spät kommt! Sie war außer sich vor Angst, dass sie Ereignisse, die in 6 Jahren stattfinden würden, nicht bewältigen könnte.
