Zusammenfassung

Bis heute gibt es keinen biologischen/genetischen Marker für Autismus-Spektrum-Störungen und es existiert auch kein gesicherter, spezifi scher neuropsychologischer Test, der ein eindeutiges Ergebnis im Sinne von Asperger-Syndrom Ja/Nein erbringt. Zwar liegen mittlerweile hochinteressante Befunde aufgrund von bildgebenden Verfahren (funktionelle Magnetresonanztomographie – fMRT, ► Kap. 3) vor, aber wir sind immer noch weit davon entfernt, aufgrund dieser Ergebnisse zu einem biologisch begründeten Testverfahren zu gelangen (Schultz 2005).
