Abstract
This chapter offers a series of goals for institutions and programs to standardize remediation systems and processes. These largely evidence-based goals are organized in three temporally sequenced phases: setting up the context for an institution’s remediation system, initiating remediation programs, and follow-through. The resultant aspirational blueprint outlines a process that is effective and compassionate to both learners and remediators while acknowledging limited resources.
