Abstract
This chapter focuses specifically on assessment of anxiety and depression in youth through an overview of the symptoms of each problem, developmental considerations in their assessment, and specific tools and informants that may be useful in such assessments. Some of the better-known narrow-band measures for assessing child and adolescent anxiety and depression are described, including the degree to which information from those measures translates to treatment recommendations.
