Abstract
No longer is it possible to throw the question out as meaningless, though it is stranger than science has ever met before: Has the universe had to adapt itself from its earliest days to the future requirements for life and mind? Until we understand which way truth lies in this domain, we can very well agree that we do not know the first thing about the universe.
