Abstract
Elbert and Rockstroh (1980) described a method for computing the waveshape of an event-related potential (ERP) at the input of a single stage AC-coupled amplifier, given the voltage at the amplifier output. In this chapter the implementation and limitations of such AC-to-DC inverse filtering will be reviewed. First, the relevant aspects of circuit theory will be presented.
