Abstract
Site selection is one of the most crucial aspects of the study. In discussing possible criteria for choosing sites, it quickly became apparent to us that numerous variables must be considered. We therefore narrowed the focus to a small set of key factors. The list includes population stability, quality of and access to official and historical records (e.g., school, police, courts, community and medical organizations, etc.), ethnic composition, ecological integrity of local communities, experimental intervention contingencies (e.g., existing apparatus; cooperation, etc.), and size of the city in relation to the wider metropolitan area.
