Abstract

This section discusses the study of two cohorts of males, the first from age 9 to age 17 and the second from age 12 to age 20. In order to avoid repetition, theories and measures for the two cohorts are described together. Essentially, we are describing a study of development between ages 9 and 20, although, where possible, the applicability of measures at specific ages is noted (e.g., up to age 15). Additional cohorts of siblings and females at age 12 are discussed in Chapter 15.
