Abstract
It is undeniable that in recent years there has been a progressive increase in the number of articles, symposia and books on the medical, therapeutical and social problems of old people, but it is equally true that this upsurge of interest is relatively recent and the studies carried out so far have raised more questions than they have offered solutions, especially in the field of clinical pharmacology.
