Abstract
In the first part of this chapter we describe the subjects who participated in Study I and the general characteristics (e.g., intensity, duration, typicality) of the incidents they reported. The remainder of the chapter is devoted to the three aspects of the object of anger described in Chapter 1: the target-the person or thing at whom the anger is directed; the instigation-the events that precipitated the anger; and the objective-the motive or aim of the angry response.
