Abstract
In the United States over 20,000 people are the victims of willful (nonnegligent) homicide each year. About three-quarters of these homicides are eventually “solved” with the arrest of one or more persons. The legal treatment of these defendants provides a great amount of information on the social norms related to anger and aggression.
