Abstract

The Deviant Peers construct assessed peer behavior such as drug use and stealing, and was defined by three indicators. Two of the indicators, parent report of overt/covert child behavior and peer nominations, consisted of a single item. The third indicator was the child’s report of friends’ substance use and deviant behavior.
