Abstract

In this last chapter I wish to summarize the major conclusions that can be drawn on the basis of the foregoing analyses. This summary will enable us to present our new view of the structure of emotional concepts and the role that the parts of this structure (the metonymies, metaphors, and cognitive models) play in the conceptualization of emotional experience. I will also discuss the usefulness of the new conception in some issues of emotion theory in general.
